Aberdeen - Getting Around

Arriving

Getting to Aberdeen is really simple whether by train, plane, coach or car.

Scotrail run a frequent service from Edinburgh/Dundee and Inverness, making connections with the rest of the country very simple. For those travelling from London there is also the option of the Caledonian Sleeper service.

There is an international airport at Dyce, operated by BAA, with flights to a large number of UK and European destinations. Getting to the city centre from the airport is really simple: you can take a taxi to Dyce Railway Station, which is about 2 miles away, or jump on the airport bus service, which will take you to the Guild Street Bus Terminal in the city. The journey takes about 30 minutes off-peak.

National Express (in conjunction with Scottish Citylink) has a regular coach service to Aberdeen with connections from the major towns and cities in Scotland.

Getting Around

Once you're in Aberdeen the main city centre is easily navigated on foot, although there is a really good bus service, as well as plenty of taxis available.
